Jumu’ah Update | Daylight Saving Time

Epping Memorial Hall Jumuah | Melbourne Hifz

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

With the recent daylight saving time change, we would like to inform our community that Jumu’ah prayers at Melbourne Hifz will remain at the same time. There are NO changes to the schedule, ensuring consistency and ease for all attendees:

  • English Bayan: 1:25 PM

  • Khutbah Begins: 1:40 PM

We warmly invite all brothers to attend Jumu’ah at Epping Memorial Hall, conveniently located on 827 High Street Epping 3076. Praying together as a community strengthens our unity, increases our īmān, and allows us to benefit from reminders that bring us closer to Allah ﷻ.

The Importance of Jumu’ah

Jumu’ah is a weekly gathering filled with immense blessings. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday…” (Sahih Muslim)

Attending Jumu’ah is not only an obligation but also an opportunity to reconnect spiritually, seek forgiveness, and gain reward through listening attentively to the khutbah and engaging in congregational prayer.

Support Your Local Musallah & Programs

We kindly remind our community of the importance of ongoing donations to support the hiring of the facility for Jumu’ah each week, as well as the Qur’an classes offered by Melbourne Hifz. Your contributions help us:

  • Maintain a consistent place for weekly Jumu’ah prayers

  • Provide Qur’an education for children

  • Support Hifz students on their journey of memorisation

  • Build a strong, Qur’an centered community

Every donation, big or small, is a form of Sadaqah Jāriyah—a continuous charity that benefits you in this life and the Hereafter.

Join Us This Friday

We encourage everyone to attend Jumu’ah regularly at Epping Memorial Hall and to bring along family and friends. Let us come together as a community, strengthen our connection with the Qur’an, and support the growth of Melbourne Hifz.

May Allah ﷻ accept from us all, place barakah in our gatherings, and allow us to remain steadfast upon our beautiful deen.
